Slewing bearing


Usually, the slewing bearing is a large rolling bearing (LYDZC produces an inner diameter of 50 mm to 8000 mm), which can bear axial,
radial and moment loads. These loads can act alone or in combination, and can act in any direction. They can perform both rotary
motion and rotary motion.
Basically, the slewing ring consists of an inner ring (a), an outer ring (b) and rolling elements-balls (c) or cylindrical rollers-separated
by polyamide spacers (d). A hole (f) is usually provided on one of the rings equipped with a gear (e) to accommodate the fixing bolt.
The hole can be threaded. Usually, only the raceway in the ring (h) is hardened and precision ground. The integral seal (g) made of
acrylonitrile-butadiene rubber (NBR) can prevent lubricant from entering the bearing and allow contaminants to enter the bearing.
The slewing bearing has been relubricated.
Reduce maintenance and operating costs through grease fittings (i). Compared with the traditional pivot device, the slewing bearing device has many design and performance advantages. The compactness and large inner diameter simplifies the design of the bearing unit and its related components. The low section height of these bearings means that the pinion can maintain a short height. In most cases, only a flat surface on the relevant components is required. Slewing bearings were originally designed to be installed only on horizontal support structures, but can now be successfully used in vertical bearing arrangements. Gear turntable bearing/slewing ring
Usually, a ring of the slewing ring includes a 20° involute cylindrical gear . These gears have proven to be the most suitable for heavy-duty slewing bearing devices operating at low speeds. The product table lists the module, the number of teeth, the reference diameter, and if necessary, the modification of the addendum of the gear. The allowable tooth force is also listed in the product table and is valid for unhardened gears. In this case, 20° involute cylindrical gear Tfnormal = Tfmax = the tangential tooth force under normal working load based on the fatigue stress at the tooth root, the maximum allowable tangential tooth force, based on the fracture at the tooth root In order to provide proper gear performance, the pinion gear should also be equipped with a 20° involute spur gear. Choose between two types of pinion drives • Drive pinion fixed relative to the slewing bearing axis (a) • Drive pinion that rotates around the bearing axis (b) Gear clearance Backlash is defined as the smallest gap between the rear end face of the driven gear and the rear end face of the rear teeth on the driven gear. After placing the pinion, check the gear clearance. The measurement should be carried out at the position marked in blue on the gear. This mark means: • The point of the maximum distance from the bearing with the external gear to the center • The point of the shortest distance from the bearing with the internal gear to the center Pinion drive
