Introduction
RKSeriesbearings haveaflanged cross-section on one orboth rings and rangeinsizefrom 20-47 inches OD(500-1200 mm).Theflanged design reduces weight and provides theequipment designergreaterflexibility for configuration of adjacent mounting structures andboltingarrangements. RK Series bearings are wellsuited formany applications where alarge diameter and lighterweight are predominantfactors in selection ofa bearing.
Design Features
The internalconfiguration is a deep-groove gothicarchraceway, which provides four points of contact with the balls,enabling the bearing to simultaneously carry radial, axial, and moment loads. Theuse of spacer balls alternated with load ballsallows forlowerrotationaltorque and superior performance in applicationsinvolving oscillatory movement. Integral face- riding seals are provided to assist in the exdusion of contaminants.
RK Seriesbearings areofferedin non-geared, intermnally geared, and extermnally geared configurations formaximum design flexibility.The gears are lnvolute Stubdesignswith 20 pressure angles, manufactured to AGMA Cass O5 qualityand .005 to .015 inches allowance for backdash.
All models featurefourfittings forlubrication,spaced90degrees apart. On non-geared andinternalgeared models, theyare locatedonthe outer counterbore diameter (D).Onextemal geared models, theyarelocatedon the inner counterbore diameter (d).

RK Seriesbearingsaregenerally availablefromstock,and mating pinionsfor the gearedversionsare alsogenerallyavailable. Seepage70formating pinions.
