When machining mechanical parts in a machining factory, when the workpiece is too high, it should be roughed with knives of different lengths in layers. The clamping method of machined parts in NC machine tools of mechanical processing plants should also reasonably select positioning datum and clamping scheme. When selecting precise datum, two principles of "datum unification" and "datum coincidence" should generally be followed. In addition to these two principles, all surfaces should be processed as far as possible in one-time positioning and clamping. Therefore, it is necessary to choose a positioning method that is convenient for all surfaces to be machined.  
When the workpiece is clamped at one time, it should be able to finish machining all surfaces of the workpiece; When determining the placement position of the workpiece on the workbench, it should be considered that the machining at each station, the length of the cutter and the influence of the rigidity of the cutter on the machining quality can be taken into account. The fixtures used in controlled machining should be assembled by common components and adjustable as far as possible, so as to shorten the production preparation cycle.  
When arranging the processing sequence, the mechanical processing factory must abide by the basic principles, including "face before hole", "rough before fine" and so on. According to the centralized process of cutting tools, avoid the repeated use of the same cutting tool, and reduce the number and time of tool change.   For the hole system with high requirement on coaxiality, the hole system at other coordinate positions should be processed after the hole system is processed after one positioning, so as to eliminate the error caused by repeated positioning and improve the coaxiality of the hole system. Choose and determine the tool point and tool change point. Once determined, it is not suitable for replacement
