2.Common problems
(1)Requirements for mounting surface and mounting site
If there are iron filings, burrs, dust and other foreign objects in SKF bearing, it will make SKF bearing produce noise and vibration during operation, and even damage the raceway and rolling body. Therefore, before installing SKF bearings, you must ensure that the mounting surface and mounting environment are clean.
(2)SKF bearings must be cleaned before mounting
SKF bearing surface coated with anti-rust oil, you must clean carefully with clean gasoline or kerosene, and then coated with clean quality or high-speed high temperature grease before installation. Cleanliness has a significant impact on SKF bearing life and vibration noise. However, we would like to remind you that fully enclosed SKF bearings do not need to be cleaned and refilled.
(3)Selection of grease
Lubrication is essential to the operation and life of SKF bearings. Here is a brief introduction to the general principle of choosing grease. Made of base oil, thickeners and additives, the properties of different types of grease and different brands of the same type vary greatly, and the permissible rotation limit is different, so be sure to pay attention when choosing. The performance of the grease is mainly determined by the base oil. Generally, the base oil with low viscosity is suitable for low temperature and high speed, while the base oil with high viscosity is suitable for high temperature and high load. The thickening agent is also related to the lubrication performance. The water resistance of the thickening agent determines the water resistance of the grease. In principle, different brands of grease cannot be mixed and, even with the same thickening agent, can cause bad effects with different additives.
